Here’s how I comply with the GDPR, the DPA and the PECR.
I collect and store the minimum amount of information I need to be able to deliver and provide you with the freebie, product, or service you’ve requested.
According to cookie-checker.com, I don’t use local cookies.
I’ve installed Google Analytics on my website, which I look at occasionally to see what pages people look at most.
Data Storage + How I Use It
I use Convertkit to collect and store your first name and email address when you buy something from me or sign up for free stuff. The people at Convertkit sent me an email that said they are GDPR compliant and I’m inclined to believe them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
When you register for a workshop, I collect your name, mailing address, and email address. I use Stripe and PayPal to collect payments. I do not store your payment information on my site.
When needed, I use Zapier to connect third party services (like Jotform) to Convertkit.
I collect your name and email address primarily to communicate with you. I give you my word that I do not have the time, energy or desire to think of ways to use your personal information in inappropriate ways. I also don’t sell it or share it with anyone else.
My site has an SSL certificate that makes certain your information is secure (https).
Email Marketing and Newsletter
I’m an online business and I choose to market with integrity.
I create free and paid offers that I share to my email list. Whenever you opt-in to receive something from me, I ask you to confirm that it’s okay for me to send it to you.
I write and send out a weekly newsletter on Mondays, through Convertkit. I try to make it informative, inspirational, interesting, and entertaining while sharing those free and paid offers I talked about above. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Convertkit allows me to see who clicks on links I share. I use tags to send more tailored and relevant emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Ask to be deleted
If you’d like to have your name and email completely deleted from Convertkit, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll take care of it. No hard feelings.
You can find me on social media and I sometimes use it to share events and posts about what I’m up to in the business. If you ask to be in my Facebook group or we meet in a group, I may send you a friend request. I might also send you a message to say hello. I’m pretty polite, so if I cross a boundary, let me know. You are not required to follow me to be a part of my community.
